The Australasian Council of Dental Schools (ACODS) is committed to education and training of dental practitioners in Australia and New Zealand through continuous improvement of dental education and research, which results in research excellence and competent graduates focussed on improving health and well-being.
The core objectives of ACODS are:
To promote excellence in dental and oral health education (teaching, research and service)
To provide the best educational environment for dental and oral health education
To provide an environment that will produce competent dental and Oral Health graduates

To foster communication and relationships with State and Commonwealth Governments, Universities, organised profession and society at large
To create awareness of the role of dental and oral health education

To provide a network to foster improved communication between members and other groups
